And I believe you are right on about what happened with Lyn Benedetto. She believed the lie about the world ending on that date, but had no peace that she would be safe since she was putting her trust in man, not Christ. And that is no doubt what was going on with me growing up too. I believed the lies of my church, that we were the only true church, the prophecies Armstrong made, etc. But it was a man-centered church, and so there was no peace, no security, and lots of fear.

I've been praying for Lyn Benedetto too, her girls, and all her family.
I'm also hoping and praying somehow God could use this situation to wake up the people at my mom's church. My mom was saying the other day, how could Lyn follow that crazy man? Hello! But I can't argue with my mom about her beliefs. I've been there and done that too many times, and I've been convicted that God will be the one who changes her mind, not me.
