So you are saying that Benedetto was part of the Armstrong congregation? If my memory is correct, I do believe that Armstrong taught that they would go through tribulation. Ever since the original Worldwide Church of God made a public statement that their teachings were not correct and finally made the turnaround it needed, there were many splinter groups that formed, creating more and more smaller Armstrong churches. I'm sure that created an unsettling of the heart and mind when that happened for those people. Relying on a man and not God can cause one to not know where to turn....and sets them up for a fall, with Satan waiting in the wings.
With all the terrible events lately with natural disasters and unrest in different countries, we will be hearing all sorts of strange stories and lies brewing.
It will cause many of the "lukewarm" to fall away and others who never believed to dig their heels in deeper to point out to the world that God's Word is a false story.
