LOL You really do not have a clue do you? The refractometer is a prism basically it measures substances through refraction in parts per thousands,it does not distinguish Sugar from salt so your original statement, although I see you are trying to ignore that, is that the refractometer measures Sugar and only sugar! You can diddle your words around and fool your cult members HV but not anyone with any intelligence!
Yes Hv you have to understand what material or substance you are working with and maybe now you are starting learn something, but as you can see by the information I have given you that the refractometer measures much more then just sugar!

No matter how you try to confuse others a prism doesn't know sugar from any other substance!
The different types may have a different scale but that's the only difference in hand held refractometers!
