Re: alkalizing water.
at anytime, anyplace in our bodies... a water molecule can disassociate into H+ and OH- a hydrogen free radical and a hydroxide...
you are manufacturing them 24x7...
You are also manufacturing peroxides and oxides...
Very good, I am glad to see you know something of how the body works. Now can you explain to all of us why free radicals are so important for our function and survival and why high levels of antioxidants actually suppress the immune system?
>>"To get nitpicky over whether I wrote "OH" or "OH-" is really rather ridiculous"<<
The devil is in the details... these are TWO different things that behave chemically different... both of which could be found in anyone's body at anytime... *an* ELECTRON makes a world of difference. That you do not know that surprises me.
What surprises me is that I have to explain to you a second time what hydroxides are. Again my post was referring to hydroxides (plural), which is not the hydroxide OH-, which is singular. Thus the "OH" was referring to the OH atoms in the hydroxides (again plural) such as calcium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, lithium hydroxide, etc. Using OH- would have been incorrect usage since again I was not talking about the hydroxide ion, but rather the mineral hydroxides in alkaline waters. This is why I pointed out in my last post that the formulations are not written KOH-, NaOH-, etc. This is why I did not make the same mistake as you did of using "OH-". If you need more chemistry explanations just let me know and I will see if I can explain the other principles to you as well.
