Re: Thoughts on liver flush mechanism

Mike, so it sounds like you think the stones are the result of incomplete digestion, where the flush releases the "black" stagnant bile, which then combines with the oil to produce the "black" stones that some of us see? And that once liver function has been restored, with fresh flow of bile, the result is that the fresh bile completely neutralizes the oil, thus leading to an absence of visible stones? So these floating stones might be only the result of incomplete digestion?

One problem with that hypothesis is that it doesn't take into account the people who actually have been diagnosed with Gallstones in their GB (via ultrasound, xray, etc.) In some of the pictures of excised GB's on the curezone site, you can see the stones found inside the surgically removed GB, some of which look a lot like what is floating in the toilet the day after a flush:

Also, from what some people have said, like Andreas Moritz , many an autopsy has revealed that the liver of the deceased contained numerous stones -- INSIDE of the liver.

Finally, some people on this forum have reported releasing stones (especially after taking ES, to deal with pain issues) without having used any olive oil. So it looks like you don't need olive oil to pass stones.

One experiment I thought of, but didn't do, is to let some MILD paprika steep in the olive oil for a few weeks, to change the color to orange/red, and then to use the decanted oil for the flush. Or do you think that that pigment would settle out, too? Whenever I cook with paprika, I notice that the colored oil seems to stay colored, especially when looking at the leftovers!

If I had my own lab and a lot of research money, this is the experiment I'd do: I'd tag the oil with a radioisotope or a fluorescent dye. If the stones were truly composed of the oil used in the flush, then they would give off radiation or fluorescent light, since the tagged oil would be directly incorporated into the stones. From that result you could also conclude that the glowing stones were less than 12 hours old. But if the stones did not give off any radiation or fluorescent light, then you'd conclude that they were made from some other material, and were probably created before the oil was ingested.

But you're right, Mike, at this point, the mechanics of the flush haven't been well studied. And the only reason why the procedure has survived is because it seems to help a lot of people who try it. If it didn't work, then people would forget about it quickly and move on to something else.
