I would completely avoid any IV chelation methods.
Have a look at the DMPS backfire website to see what could happen. Even if it doesnt totally mess you up the amount of mercury removed is only about 2% more than one round of low dose chelation (if i remember correctly)
Also, EDTA like you said, is no use for mercury.
