Re: oral chelating vs. chelation by injection

Thanks for the replies. I really appreciate it.

I don't live in the States now, and most mainstream doctors here do not really consider heavy metals/yeast to be a problem for most people. For about 2 years, I've mostly been doing research and following a program based on that (replace my silver fillings and follow the Cutler Protocol though I started with cilantro/chlorella). Recently I have discovered chelation specialists here, and many of them do IV chelation, so I'm considering my options and seeking advice.

I'm not necessarily thinking of giving up on oral chelation. I'm just thinking of trying a different tact to see if it works. I think there's some logic to the idea of IV chelation since the chelator doesn't need to travel through the digestive process and stomach acid, so more would be available for chelation. But, too much chelator could be bad too since it would mobilize more heavy metals than a body could comfortably handle with potentially damaging results.

I can certainly see how too much chelation too soon could really mess a person up.

I'm not sure if DMPS is even available here. I mostly see them describing EDTA chelation. Everything I've read suggests that EDTA by itself is not an effective chelator for mercury.

I hope, in the very least, that the doctor can give me a heavy metals test, though I know not all the tests are very reliable.

It's difficult to fly partly blind. That's kind of the way I feel without a doctor's help. However, I can't deny that I (generally) feel much better now, compared to how I felt before chelation.
