Re: Chelation for chronic candida

I jsut talked to a couple labs.

Parasitiology recommends both the CDSA + the culture. The cost would be about $245. I forgot to ask how they culture the bacteria and fungi. Total cost would be $265. I really wanted a rectal swab done but they do not do this

Genova Diagnostics will do a rectal swab but they say it's rarely ordered and only useful for parasites outside the rectum like pinworms. However, this was written on badbugs.org:
"Karen was tested by Great Smokies Diagnostics (a reputable private lab) and by her doctor's local lab. All samples were negative. She wrote:
"I have yet to find a parasite with a purged stool sample sent to Great Smokies yet the rectal swabs have found it 5 times."
Karen was retested a number of times due to failure of a number of drug treatments to relieve her symptoms"
Cost of this test through directlabs.com is $193.

I'm not too confident that a microscopic exam is going to find the protozoa so I'm going to find a way to get a swab done through great smokies even though they say it is not reliable.

Wait, i'm a bit confused. You wrote $245 and $265 haha. The one that will cost $245-265 is the one in AZ and that is the rectum swab and their comprehensive test correct?

Genova will not do rectum swabs and only microscopic?
