Re: Chelation for chronic candida
I think Dr. Buttar did use it on his son but I think he might have done both. Im not sure if he ONLY uses DMPS, he uses DMSA and maybe even EDTA for lead but he mentioned that his son had lots of GI issues with oral DMSA which is WHY he decided to create and patent the transdermal form of it for kids that don't do well with it orally or have GI issues.
For the parasites, i'm still researching labs. I know metametrix will be one, even though it'll cost me an arm and a leg at $400. They use DNA PCR so i cant give that up because my doctor isn't convinced yet and to be frank, neither am I. Only looking into all the options. Being on this restricted diet, if it shows for the 3rd consecutive time, it is definitely some protozoan genetic material as the only 2 options metametrix states is that it is transcient from food, or a rare protozoan parasite.
Also considering Genova diagnostics but they have never picked up anything from my stool tests. Maybe doctors data, or diagnostech. Frankly, I will there was alist of labs that i could compare and see the methods of detections they use but I guess i'll have to go on price. I'm not sure a rectal swab in my case will be of any benefit because protozoan inhabitance of the small bowel or upper GI is pretty far from the rectum. If you can imagine, it's like football fields away. So unless im excreting one that is alive and manage to get it onto a swab and localize it perfectly, it'll be a slim chance IMO.
