Re: Quickie...Re: Jumping & applauding in agreement with this... Re: For ray34iyf (and everyone :) Detoxing & healing Accutane/Lexapro/Celexa
I've been reading around the forums and am starting to think I have adrenal fatigue. It would make perfect sense, to me anyway.
I definitely spank the monkey way too much. From the time I was around 12, I've spank the monkeyd a lot. p 0 r n use has been standard since maybe 17 or so. I have tended to spank the monkey between 1-5 times a day, not knowing why I always felt so compelled to do it so many times daily. But that part is irrelevant for this discussion (I know I have psych issues.)
Combined with periods of frequent marijuana use (as well as periods of sobriety) and constant anxiety post-Acctutane (it's hard to say, but I feel like I've spank the monkeyd more frequently post-Accutane than prior to taking it) I feel like there is a good chance that my adrenals are pretty taxed.
My symptoms match up fairly well. Very cold hands and feet all of the time, thin and dry hair and skin, serious light sensitivity and poor night vision, cold intolerance, fatigue, etc. I will attempt to cease playing with yourself, spanking the monkey multiple times daily and ween myself to hopefully only once or twice a week and see if that helps at all. This will probably be harder than any diet change for me, but I am now motivated to drastically reduce frequency.
But then again, it seems those symptoms could indicate any number of things. Just throwing another piece of information out there, Uny.
Edit: For many years (both pre and post-Accutane) I have also lifted extremely heavy (for me) at the gym. Exercises mostly consisting of heavy (usually between 2-6 reps and til failure most sets) barbell squats, barbell deadlifts, bench and military presses were the core of my workouts. Clearly that kind of all-out lifting is also taxing on the adrenals. I would be consistent with that type of lifting for 4-5 months at a time (then I usually slack off and not work out much for a while) maybe once or twice a year. The last time I was lifting like that was from March -July of 2010.
