You are correct, when all hell breaks loose, it is what we can carry on our backs that counts, which means?

Guns, Ammo, Knives, Fire starting abilities, most of all, wisdom to live alone if need be, travel far distances, etc.....

so again, when all hell does break loose, a ton of gold is not worth 1 knife or 1 bean...in fact, in those days, gold will be a rock...same as many a movie has tried to teach us, that those on the run, fall because they tried to carry the heay gold they stole....

Again, you did miss my point, I was laughing at the stupid jap governments/banks/world governments for stock piling worthless gold.In fact, the common old order amish family with 10 guns and every child knowing ho to use them andlive off the land by butchering anything and everything and not worrying about dirt, etc....will have the best survival rates....just too bad they do it out of religion, but if it keeps clans together, those clands become mighty armies.
