to the OP, i am very sorry you have to witness this nonsense. this person seems to cause trouble on curezone forgetting the primary mission is to help people out.

regardless of whether EBV is causative, it is good to know that there is at the very least an association with the virus.

EBV was also the supposed cause of Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome a long time ago but current thinking has changed a lot on the subject.

there most definitely is disagreement on the subject as to whether viruses as a class do cause disease or whether they are just opportunistic. this is the age old pasteur vs bechamp debate. most or many allopaths believe that viruses are causative while many alternative practitioners take a more holistic approach and look at a larger picture. there is no need to rehash it or try to prove oneself. formulate your own OPINION and move on.


personally i agree with donquixote on the subject, viruses are rarely causative. if a virus was causative, what was the cause of the virus? what was the cause of the cause? this logic becomes quickly recursive and pointless.

to the folks who like to turn people's suffering into an opportunity to grandstand please try remember you are here to help, and not to cause added strife to newcomers. just state your disagreement and be done with it.

if you want to get deep into the subject i would read kerry mullis' books/papers. mullis was the person responsible for pcr testing that made detection of hiv even possible. long story short is that even mullis does not believe that hiv is causative in aids and he is not alone in the scientific community.
