High blood pressure - need help please.
My blood pressure has always been low/normal (110/70ish). My work is very stressful, as I have never-ending deadlines. My blood work last year showed high potassium, but no action was taken by MD as it was thought to be a fluke.
About three months ago, I began supplementing with
Iodine (50-100 mg/day) for a pre-cancerous breast issue (DCIS).
I have been exhausted a lot lately, and got a diagnosis yesterday of adrenal fatigue from new MD (following saliva test). My blood pressure yesterday was an unprecedented 150/90.
After my online research this morning, I am beginning to wonder if the potassium in the
Iodine supplements could be causing this high blood pressure, or if something else related to the
Iodine is causing it. I have had intermittent foamy urine during iodine supplementation, too, which I understand can be caused by high blood pressure.
So I need to fix the high blood pressure ASAP, and plan to cease all supplementation until I figure this out.
Any ideas about whether the iodoral could be causing my high blood pressure? Other than DCIS, adrenal fatigue, and current blood pressure issue, I am in good health and have a very good diet.
