Re: My journey through 42 flushes

Hi Vidda,
When I started a couple years ago I was aiming for every 2 weeks, but sometimes other stuff would come up and it would be longer. Then I started to try to do them every weekend. Of course stuff would come up some weekends and I would skip a week or more. Then I took a really long break for several months, was just really busy with other things. I picked it up again a few weeks ago. I'm a huge fan of Dr. David Jubb's work. He recommends doing LifeFood Nutritional fasting in conjunction with the liver flushes. I think his program is incredible. Basically you eat nothing but blended foods, some fresh juices, or some raw nut/seed milks for 14 days. He primarily recommends blending food, like making raw soups and smoothies. During the 14 days you do 3 flushes. Some of them he refers to as a Liver Flush in which you use 4-6 oz of oil, and the other he calls a Gallbladder flush in which you use 8-12 oz of oil. Also his protocol is a bit different in that you take the oil/lemon juice during the day around 2:30 and then do a coffee enema at 3 pm.
Since I've been experimenting with that protocol more lately I get much better results and I seem to throw up less when I do it during the day.
His whole program is amazing because you are not starving yourself while you are doing the fasting but you are actually flooding your body with nutrition. Unlike juice fasting where you might feel kind of low blood sugar, when you are making blended soups you are using high quality oils and avocados, so you actually feel full and satisfied. A friend of mine did a liquid fast on raw smoothies for a week recently and said it was the most effective kind of cleansing results he's ever done.
Over the holidays while I had more time off work I did 2 flushes per week, taking the oil during the day.
Last night I did it at night because I don't have enough time to do it during the day, and I did get sick and ended up throwing up after 2 hours. I've just kind of come to except that this is part of my process, as unpleasant as it is.
I've felt that doing them frequently has worked really well for me but I know that others feel that they need to wait at least a couple of weeks or more.
Dr. Jubb says that he has worked with very sick cancer patients who don't have a lot of time and can't wait 2 weeks between flushes and it has worked very well to have them do these frequently. His ex-wife Annie Jubb with whom he wrote several books, also works with very sick people. She says that the cancer patients she works with keep up the nutritional fasting and flushing every week for like 6 months or however long it takes them to reverse the toxic condition in their body.
I think one might have to just see for themselves how often they feel comfortable flushing. I'm going to keep aiming for once a week when I can, and maybe throw in an extra flush per week when I have more time off work.
I feel like I gain a certain momentum when I do them frequently where my body moves them out better, others feel that they have to wait a few weeks for their stones to take time to move through the bile ducts from further regions. You might want to experiment.
