Re: Useful weeds...AND microorganisms

Maybe the idea is such a good one, lots of people have been thinking along the same lines. I love wandering around my town and seeing the sheer amount of food, and useful plants, that are just growing wild all over the place. Many plants are edible, and others are great herbs and medicine plants, and people don't even realise what they are looking at.

Many of the bush foods around my way, are very nutritious, the indigenous people have such a vast knowledge of what is edible, and what is a medicine plant.

There have been a lot of floods, in the food growing areas of Australia, and I hear all the time, about how fruit and vege prices, are set to rise. Then I look out into my garden, full of food, and don't worry about where my fruit and vege will come from.

One day, I would like to be fully self sufficient. I strongly believe, it is those who learn the skills of growing food, and building shelter for themselves, and knowing the ways of natural medicine, that will survive in the years to come. I hope I'm one of them, as I'm sure you will be :)
