Re: Useful weeds...AND microorganisms

(Hm-m-m. My spell check accepts 'microorganisms' and 'micro-organisms'. I take words to "create an email" just to find out. :) )

I wish I had invented scattering of seeds. I didn't. I'll go get the gentleman's name...

...http://www.onestrawrevolution.net/MasanobuFukuoka.htm but I'm not certain this is the fellow.

Back in a moment...

Perhaps this IS the fellow. If he suggested flying over a region, and scattering seeds, maybe tree seeds, then he is.

Perhaps it was sea buckthorn seeds. Those trees have so many uses...including soil preservation.

My own personal plan is this...

When my ship comes in, which sould be any day now...find land which is not far above the aquafer (groundwater) and scatter seeds of many kinds.

Then, either give away the harvest, or, build straw bale houses for some who who know or are willing to learn plant care.

I observed what happened when a vegetable gardner was away and had asked friends to see to the earliest harvest on his acreage.

Bedlam!

It was sad. Friends they may have been, but they knew nothing about gardens.

Google "no-till" for some great reading.

Enjoy!

Fledgling
