Some excellent points, plants and humans need a living healthy soil.

Micro-organisms are the forgotten part of modern day agriculture, as well as beneficial soil fungi. We really need to rethink the way we produce food, or it will be the death of the soil and the people that rely on it.

I love your idea of scattering seeds around, much of my garden is self sown plants, they do very well, and I have some wonderful tomatoes and mustard plants that have come up this summer.

Areas of land, that are considered wasteland, could become food gardens for the community, if they used your idea of seed scattering.
