Thanks Trimnut2, I have only just begun reading one of Peter's books, after seeing a documentary on his work. I was fascinated by the effect his ideas, had on the land, particularly when seeing the condition of the properties surrounding the one he was working on.
His own personal story, is a sad one, but his work is outstanding.
I'm sure there are ways to tweak his ideas, and he probably does this himself.
His methods would be very good for the land, in my local area, there is a lot of salt affected land, and very sandy porous soils. Any way to hold water in situ, would be a boon for the land.
I also think the use of indigenous plants is best, where possible.
I am a fan of weeds, for food and for the medicinal properties, useful for humans and animals :)
