I have the exact same symptoms!

I experienced the same dismissive behaviour and sending to a shrink.

But now I have a diagnosis: acute strongyloiasis. You should take Albendazole and Ivermectin rapidly. Start with 12 mg Ivermectin. If you cannot get any other form of it, I have taken Vectin paste for horses (just the paste, do not use injectable or lotion). You must be careful not to take more than 2 notches of it (a bit less than 1 cm of the paste), on an empty stomach and not eat for several hours afterwards.

A week later, or when you have another attack, take a second dose.

(The easiest way to do this is to watch a film in the evening to relax and to take it with just water before going to bed.)

You need to take care of yourself, this condition can be treated but untreated is dangerous.

You should see a Tropical specialist and try to get Ivermectin and Albendazole. To be on the safe side, I would also order Vectin Horse Paste Apple taste, so you have some in the medicine cupboard for emergencies. According to a pharmacist it is the same chemical Ivermectin, just a strange taste. But try not to take it more than 2 times, I took it 3 times and have quite a stomach ache now, it has liver damage possibility as side effect if taken more than 12 mg.

You also need to always tell health professionals about it if you are going to receive some other treatment for something else as it can be a bad combination with radiation and corticosteroids.

Strongyloiasis does not show in lab analyses (urine, blood, stool) I am told. The only thing is you probably have a lot of white cells in urine, and holes in your skin.

Traditionally people affected by worms have been advised to cut down on white flour, sugar, fats and milk. Instead to eat papaya, fresh pineapple, fruits and vegetables, and protein.

Does anyone have experience of Cambendazole? It is cited as being teratogenic (causing birth defects) but being very effective for strongyloiasis. Has anyone used it?
