Check out Book 1 on the Ask Barefoot forum here on cure zone. I did a 40 day fresh squeezed Orange Juice fast and had tremendous energy once the main toxins were passed. On the days you are tired when fasting the body is eliminating toxins. I did lose 20 lbs... only 10 from my ideal lb.
Going into a
Water Fast directly without any prior clean up can be very hard on the body. Especially if you are overweight because in your fat is usually
parasites and the colon will typically have impacted fecal matter. I learned the colon can store up to 75 lbs of undigested food for 10 years. Look down at your stomach is this your case?
If you start drinking water & your colon is still full of the meat you ate 2 days ago or food from last year it's just going to sit there and keep rotting inside of you. Sorry to be graphic here but it's essential that you go slowly into a longer cleanse.
Water Fasting is really extreme compared to a juice fast. If you want to lose weight quicker better to rotate one day water then one day juice etc...
Here is an example for a pre-fasting method: Eat 100% raw foods for a week. Then start doing a lot of juices, smoothies and maybe one solid raw meal per day gradually until you are only on juice. Raw foods, like veggies uncooked, fruit or raw nuts like sunflower, almond or mac nuts. Salads with mixed greens or spinach then for dressing avocados and lemon with a little
Olive-Oil & pink salt. No dehydrated items or super foods. You can find recipes in multiple places I like the Garden Diet or just google raw food recipes. Slow and steady wins the race. Check out raw food success stories via google.
If you are so fatigued from fasting and can't move your body then it's not going to clean your lymph. The lymph makes up more of the bodies fluid than the blood. Ideally a program of fasting should include a series of movement throughout the day for short periods. This keeps your lymph doing it's job of detoxing.
FYI I'm on Day 10 of a 100% raw food fast and will be doing 1 day of water tomorrow followed by juice for a few days. The entire program I am doing is a 21 Day cleanse. It's been a great process so far. I've lost 5 lbs, my skin looks tighter, my waste is reducing and my energy level has been high with great mental clarity. I am all about the quick version of losing weight and completely believe in fasting to do this and it's important to know what you are doing.
