Everyone has issues and i'm SURE the OP has relationship issues as well. But there isn't much info about his past and as far the situation is concerned and from the information disclosed, SHE completely f***ed him over. What she did was wrong period. Doesn't change the facts.

Its possible the OP has problems with choosing the right kind of women but he said no such thing so anything more than what was stated above is just conjecture. With the information GIVEN, her hurtful and cheating actions are clear. And even if he does have some sort of intimacy problem, it certainly does not mitigate the hurt nor does it absolve her any more of her wrongdoings than if he does not. Yes, he is trying to "control" the situation and you can definitely interpret that as controlling her but in this case, he's trying to gain balance and restabilize his entire reality that was thrown off back, not dominate her obviously. Someone trying to take back control and stability in his life, which includes his wife and kids, is not trying to control someone else. It just so happens that she caused it all and she is the weak link in his case.

Clearly someone going through this mess isn't ready nor strong enough to hear "get some counseling for yourself" and neither should any blame be placed on him. Bottom line is, he came for help and he should get it. Asking questions like "have you ever killed someone before? have you ever cheated before? have you ever... XXXXXX? oh then u deserve it" is trying to judge and place weight on the situation, not resolve it.
