Re: censorship on internet forums.

I have found that there was indeed quite a dust-up in the past about the revenue issue so to some extent I stand corrected.  Either it was before my time or the issue passed me by completely - thus I really do not know all the details.  Personally I would be a bit loathe to soil the carpet where I was a guest and at any rate do not begrudge a website owner making money.  Though money is quite secondary to me, if I operated CZ it would make much more money than it does now - and knowing how savvy the owner is it makes me very hesitant to say that money is an over-arching issue.

My post was mostly intended to poke lightly at the issue and perhaps defuse it.  No amount of further debate or discussion is going to change it so we should in my opinion lighten up and move on.  And as I said above, it isn't our carpet we are soiling.  We are guests here and remain so at the sole discretion of the owner and those he chooses to keep order. 

Now, I have to ask you this: What do you think of someone using their private forum as a soapbox to attack other members?

Yes, the "debate" here in this forum was moved to that private forum, where it just so happens that I am banned.  Not that I would normally debate a private forum owner in their own forum anyway as a matter of decorum, but I did try to register a negative vote and found that I was banned.  I would state my opinion of someone doing such a thing, but no doubt there would be a string of TOS violations if I did.

And with that, I am butting out of this thread - though not likely this forum.  Sustainable and renewable are very worthy topics to discuss and contribute to.
