Re: censorship on internet forums.

Spud and IC, I just popped in to say "hey." I, too, am appalled at what has transpired at CZ over the last few weeks. There is no way on earth that I'd ever post in the so-called Debate Forums again. If I'm going to bother to put some effort and thought into a message, and the mod edits or removes it because we have differing points of view, then there just is no point in my wasting time there. The Debate Forums (political especially) will probably become a handful of people preaching to the choir and that's just plain boring. It's clear where the Webmaster is coming from, too. It's all been disappointing, though. I see that a couple of people who own/moderate other forums jumped in to add their own points of view. And that's cool, because it is now also very clear where they are coming from. But these are people whose forums I used to find informative and enjoyable, people I respected. That is no longer the case.

If I don't get banned, I'll come visit your forum every once in a while, Spud. I feel much more comfortable and welcomed here!! And, IC, thanks for the salute! Take care.
