Re: a few more thoughts ...
You just need to look at the posts you have edited in the last few threads in this forum. None of these posts breached TOS, and by editing them you have changed the meaning of the posts, this is wrong, and this is censorship of others opinion. Unless there is a personal attack, or an attack on the messenger, instead of the message, or a clear breach of TOS, posts should not be altered.
Also to edit a persons post, delete a persons post, or hide a persons post, without any explanation, is also wrong, and disrespectful to the person posting the message.
When a moderator is given moderating privileges, they are sent an email by the Webmaster, with clear guidelines on how to moderate, and when and how breaches of
TOS should be dealt with. It is also pointed out in these guidelines, the differences between moderating in a support forum, and moderating in a debate forum.
I realise you are learning, so maybe erring on the side of caution, rather than simply hiding or editing every alerted post, might be a good way to look at things, particularly while you are still new to this.
One more thing, it is important as a moderator to put your personal feelings about the issues being discussed, and your personal feelings about other curezone members aside, and not allow these feelings to influence your moderating duties.
