Re: a few more thoughts ...
I know very well what the
TOS are, I have read them myself, and I use them as a guide when moderating my own forum.
There is a very big difference between the
Support Forums and
Debate Forums . People have their own opinions on issues, and these opinions should not be censored by a moderator, whether the moderator agrees with the opinion or not.
If
TOS are breached, it is the moderator that will receive the alert, and should deal with it. Just because someone has pressed the alert button, does not mean that the post is in breach of TOS, it may simply mean that the person who pressed the alert button, disagrees with the opinion in the post, or doesn't like the poster, or any number of reasons.
As a moderator, it is important to read the post, in context, and see if
TOS has been breached or not.
I have contacted the
Webmaster about the lack of explanation from yourself, concerning the hiding and editing of posts that do not, in any way, breach TOS, IMO, and according to the TOS itself.
I would still like an explanation as to why these posts have been edited or hidden, not just a link to the TOS or other posts, but an actual explanation of what part of the TOS these posts breached.
