Marcy, the best thing would be that he choses a healthy lifestyle, but right now to pass the test he needs drugs! If I was him I'd get something from my regular doctor, since he's already on meds and they know how to tweak them to lower his B/P even if it's for one day.

It's not too late to get something from his doc, even by a phone call, if he explains the situation and has them send something to the drug store today. One more pill for one day to save his job is not a bad thing.
