Re: Personal attacks, name calling and insults are never correct
"I realize that the topic of abortion can become an emotionally charged one. Perhaps even more so than religion and politics. However, regardless of the topic or emotions involved and regardless of one's religious or political views, the bottom line is this:
If anyone is trying to defend demeaning another member, questioning their morals, name calling or otherwise slurring them, they are wrong. Period. It does not matter what someone else may or may not have done, that does not make attacking the messenger with insults and name calling right or within CureZone TOS.
As the WM, who is a more lenient and likely wiser soul than I, has stated in kinder terms: If someone cannot depend on the strength of their arguments without stooping into the gutter and turning the debate into personal attacks, they lose the debate by default."
"One can also word attack posts without the word "you" that are nevertheless clearly aimed at someone. For example: "that is just a bunch of lies typical of blankety-blank'blanks" or "the low-life scumbags always think like that" or whatever. But, yes, getting rid of the word "you" would be a very good start."
I agree and why have
TOS at all if people repeatedly ignore it and get away with it?
If we called every poster on it, every time, would that help? (rhetorical question)
At the end of the day, it's simple: say to others only what you would want said to you. It's not happening. Enforcement is needed.
