Well yeah...but then you eat the skin anyway...if you left the apple to dry out somewhere then ate it, then it'd be processed, you wouldn't find an apple without a skin in nature, if left on its own it'd be quickly eaten or rot. I believe that we weren't meant to eat anything in any tampered fashion, just eat it as is, the only reason why we have to eat many things in tampered conditions is usually because we need to rectify problems which other tampered-with/processed foods have caused.
