Re: why us and not others

I was just wondering about this! Great idea!

I am 36. I got Mirena at my 6 week checkup after my only child was born (Dec. 2006). I was on the pill pretty much continuously from age 18-32. At the time I didn't realize it but the pill caused serious stomach issues the doctors put down to stress. I had a very bad reaction to a depo provera shot.

I have a retro tilted uterus. I was nursing while I had Mirena. I didn't notice symptoms (besides fatigue) until after I stopped nursing. Then I got bad migraines.

After 2 years my symptoms got worse. Back pain, acne, feelings of hatred toward my husband, even more tired, aches, numbness in pinkies, brain fog. I think the upswing was when the IUD went through the wall of my womb and lodged in my intestine. I think I just got overdosed so I can't shake the symptoms. Did any of you have problems with Mirena being embedded or out of place?

I'm on the thin side, have early onset osteoporosis, and eat too many sweets. I do some exercise but it is painful. I take fish oil and multi vitamins. No smoking or drinking.

All blood tests normal. Ultrasound and CT scan normal.

I hope we can figure this out!!
