Yep, the government of my country certainly did swallow it, most of the people here did not. As we had a conservative government at the time, they really had no interest in what the people thought, and sent our troops to war as well.

And in answer to your first question, no I do not buy the official story, nor do I buy the story on why Iraq needed invading. I do not, however, buy the bulk of the theories that have been put forward by a wide variety of people either.
