Monkeytime you kill me. What you are speaking of is called Hermeneutics. It is not just the languages the bible was written in (Koine or Hellenistic Greek, Ancient Hebrew and Aramaic). It is also the cultural references as well as the target audiences.

A really good example of this is the greek word helkuo. This word is used many times in the new testament. It means dragged or forcibly compelled, or lead. This word translated into english was the word "draws".

In John 6:44 it says:No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him

So no man may come unless they are dragged to Christ. This same word is used when the fishermen drew in their nets. Those fish were not making a choice. They were being helkuo'd to the boat against their will.


As to us just being voice boxes. I would like to suggest to you that you complete a systematic study using proper hermeneutics on mans nature vs mans will.


I have been reading through all of the passages you sent.

It will take some time but I started putting together a matrix of information. Who was the target audience, is there any cultural references, What does the original languages say about this, etc.

Reading your posts I have come to the conclusion you do not study systematically and you do not know latin or greek. If you did, you would have realized how badly the context of some of the passages you sighted in regards to Gods purpose for man is.

You do not use proper hermeneutics as well.

I have a job and a family and do not have time to spend all evening on forums.
