Re: Simple Correct Meaning of words used in context
Monkeytime, are you saying you have taken all the words of the bible back to the greek?
I know there have been lots of bible scholars that have done that. And I do not know of one that has come up with the interpretations of the bible that you have. You seem to have taken just a small part of the bible and come up with some strange interpretation and formulated your own religion around your interpretation. But it just doesn't match what the bible says.
The fact that you balk about us saying everything is about God's glory is a huge red flag to me. I remember when I was young, and I would hear someone talk about everything being about God's glory, and I remembering thinking, "I don't like that. I want it to be about me. It sounds yucky for everything to be about God. " Well, by God's grace I have matured a lot in Christ since then. I now see the humongous importance of everything being about God's glory, and I very much desire for everything to be about God's glory now. I now understand that everything being about God's glory is of immeasurable benefit to me. And I'm not saying that God's plan is not about us at all. It most certainly is. We are the recipients of all that entails His glory, and that is why we, if we are His children, should desire to praise Him forever. I do desire to praise Him forever now. And anyone that thinks when we say we will praise God forever means sitting up in heaven with a bunch of harps, has not tasted yet the awesomeness of a loving relationship with God that cannot even be humanly expressed. If you think that praising God for all eternity sounds boring, well then you just don't understand yet. I hope that you will come to understand.
I am still going to try to find a good simple explanation of the process of God's salvation in the three tenses, past, present, and future: Justification, sanctification, and glorification.
