I would think having the costochondritis pain is keeping you sensitized, which is why you're feeling so anxious and having the panic attacks. I know when my "anxiety muscle" is hurting in my chest, I used to automatically think I was having a heart attack too and would panic like crazy.

Eventually the pain will subside, you have to believe that! It is harmless. Good luck
