Spotless

Life ~ is burly
squirrelly
while we find new improved methods of
sloth and its
alibi
like making sure our dishes come out
of the dishwasher
without spots
as messages are
text-ed
by people while they drive
some who have not taken
typing yet
or Driver's Education

It's squirrelly that we travel at
high rates of speed
within inches of other many-tonned
machines
passing in opposite
directions
and while typing to boot
but so burly that we are so rude
independently
and abroad
No - not a broad
or maybe so ?

Life ~
is a burly squirrelly
bad bad girl
rode hard and not put away
yet
so crudely stunning
and rough around the edges
with her feet upon the
table
her name is probably
Mabel
and her whiskey makes her woozy
as she's torn the dress
she's
worn too long
and comes on
a little too strong
as expected of a
floozy

Her moments of true
gentility
with ankles neatly crossed
are quickly replaced
by her underlying
hostility
caring only enough to wash
her own face
occasionally
simply to be ready for
the next
time . . .
