From my experience....

They yanked my gall bladder from me when I was 20 years old.  I had a few attacks and they were very painful.   The doctor was concerned about the stones getting into the bile duct, causing pancreatitis.   Pancreatitis ensued anyway.

The butcher who operated on me left a 6-7 inch scar.   No more bikini

Living without the gall bladder started a downward spiral, affecting my disgestion and liver.   My energy levels went way down, at the very time I was having my babies.

If I could do it over,  I would have done every clease and made every nutritional change necessary to avoid this life-changing decision.  Actually, it was not my MY decision but the surgeon's.   I was so young and didn't know better.

I wish I had read a forum like this beforehand....  Patient beware.   Do all your homework before any decisions.
