Wow! Great responses. Except that one about people dying from liver flushes...LOL now we know you DO have a sense of humor.
To an above poster...I'm in New York. I tend to stay away from doctoirs at almost any cost. I've found them to be quite unreliable ever since I took my first job as a doctors receptionist after graduating high school. I can tell you some horror stories...oner being that the "doctor" I worked for demanded that I perform EKG's on his patiennts...even though I have no medical training. Back in 1978 he'd charge $80.00 for that test...and never even read the results obviously because he knew I didn't know how to do it.
Anyway...the friend whose hubby went in for surgery today had the GB out. She related to a bunch of us how befoire the surgery the doctor mentioned that he couldn't gaurantee that this would take the pain he had been experiencing away. Isn't that nice...prep the guy for surgery and THEN let him know that this might not be his problem.
I want to scream.
So I told her about Epsom Salts and that he may want to do a flush later on anyway...I doubt they'll even pay that statement much mind.I try to remember that these same people werefreaking because they weren't going to be able to get their flu shot this year.
