What is the deal?

I was diagnosed 3 years ago with gallstones. Shortly after giving birth to my son I had pain one night that was so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. OB sent me for an ultrsound and they found stones. They didn't say how many.

Went for the appointment with the dugeon who said he would like to see me finish breastfeeding my son which was music to my ears. My mom sadi "yeah but did you tell him that you nurse for years?"

LOL...well I stayed on a low fat diet which worked pretty well but I would still occasionally have pain.

Talked with an uncle who told me his mom had gallbladder trouble and used to take a tablepoon of olive oil if she felt an attack coming on. I did some research and found the gallbladder flush recipe and even read Hulda Clark 's book. I still hesitated to do a flush though...I was still nursing my son at night and I thought I wouldn't be able to do the flush and nurse at the same time.

Anyway, I started taking olive oil by the tablespoon...first onece a day then increased to 3 times a day. One night approx 2 months later I had some god-awful pain like I've never had it before. It made me cry out. After the worst was over I laid in bed and I could feel stuff happening. The next morning I had bright green bowel movements and continued to do so for 3 days!

I continued with the low fat diet for another year and then finally decided I had better do the flush. I had a friend who did it with much success so now I had no excuse. I was still nursing my son but not as frequently.

I've only done 2 flushes. The first was very successful..hundreds of stones. I did a second a few months later...and very few stones came out but there were some. I plan on doing another in the spring.

I am the type to talk to people about stuff like this. Recently an aquiantence of mine announced that her hubby has to have his gallbladder out because of stones. I simply told her to tell him to flush them. She keeps mentioning it though...and while she won't take my advice she seems to want sympathy for what her hubby has to go through.

Is this too much or what? It's not like it has not been proven to work. Why are people so afraid of doing the flush but will submit themselves to a guy with a knife in their hand?
