I wish I had an answer to your question as I have wondered this same thing a million times. Just last week, a close friend of mine called to tell me her doctor had told her that her gallbladder no longer functioned. A few days later, the gallbladder was gone. I knew she hesitated telling me she was going to have surgery because she knows how I feel about the flushes/cleanses. So, I tried a different approach by NOT getting on to her and instead I approached the surgery that I would be right there if she needed me for anything. We have had so many conversations about what she could do to achieve better health and from her past history, she listens, but does nothing. Personally, I think she thinks I am a nut.

As the saying goes......"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."

All you can do at this point is lead by example. You are responsible for your own health and it sounds like you are doing a bang up job! Congratulations!
