Re:The living word

"Language is not a static thing, it has evolved and is still evolving, new words and meanings are added to the language every day, and old irrelevent words and meanings discarded. Words and meanings change with new knowledge, and the change in the mores of society."

That is why it is called the living word. I would postulate that words do not necessarily evolve, but they do grow new branches. Sometimes people try to sever(discard) words, yet they always retain the ability to grow back. Symbols and letters can seed new words these words develop into de-finite meanings. Following the truth will always be morally superior, such is the nature of life. Many of our customs and manners sprout from Biblical principles. Some of those branches have been severed from the tree of life and are now used as a switch to brow beat society into submission by the hands of men.

The truth is not alterable, the truth does not change when you change the meanings of a word, because meanings are shared. One can change the perception of them by viewing them from a different angle, but once you sever them from the tree of life, they no, longer necessarily exist as a word of truth.

Is a tree static?
