quickie clarifications...Re: How To Use The Eyebright Eyewash
I'm an ex-restaurant manager/food service person (with a license/certification in safe food handling & food born illness/issues), so I'm well-versed in the 'germ thing' :::grin:::
I keep my water heater at MAX, which means my tap water (hot) comes out around 155/160 degrees. (even though my water heater dial only goes to 150, it comes out hotter...yay) There's not a 'germ' on the planet that can live in that temperature....not even the dreaded botulism :)
The 'heat/burn level' of these formulas:
No one batch of ANY tincture will turn out the same way twice, so that accounts for SOME of the variation. On the other hand, Rocky and I have (seriously pain/burn-stakingly) done extensive testing on the Eyebright tincture (doing likely hundreds of eyewashes with various levels of cayenne)...and we now feel have a fairly UNvariable tincture method:
We make the Eyebright formula WITHOUT adding cayenne (the Heat Units of various peppers are totally different of course, and the HU of peppers that are dried are exponentially hotter than those that are fresh...and each batch of peppers anyone purchases likely has had a variety of growing conditions that alters the HU of the peppers). Hence, we do NOT add any peppers to the Eyebright formula when tincturing it, because there's simply no WAY to ensure that each batch would be similar.
HOWEVER, since we make our Cayenne Tincture #1 5-10 gallons at a time (each gallon with the exact same ingredients/ratios), the HU level of our Cayenne #1 is very stable & predictable.
Each new moon we harvest a quart-1/2 gallon of the Eyebright tincture and set that aside to fill orders. Each time someone orders, Rick mixes the Eyebright tincture, adding 1/8 part of our Cayenne #1. If they want
Dr. Schulze s formula/heat level, we send the other 7/8 part of Cayenne #1 tincture 'on the side' for them to add.
This tincturing/mixing methodology has resulted in the most consistent level of heat/burn that we've been able to devise.
We have a bottle of
Dr. Schulze s Eyebright (original formula not his "new" formula that he formulated since being out of the clinic) and a bottle from Health Freedom resources (also
Dr. Schulze s original formula) that we used for 'test comparison'...both of these 'test bottles' are several years old. We've had two reports from those that use Dr. Schulzes 'new formula' that it is substantially LESS hot than our Dr. Schulze version.
Re this:
>>>Uny, interesting you mentioned "... should not burn the way Doc Christopher said....". I guess I've been operating on a mis-conception here. I got a big bottle of eyebright from MH several years ago, probably enough to last me several years. I always assumed (bad Ohfor, bad Ohfor) that it was the same formula as Doc Johns. It does burn, and this only when using 2 drops in the eye cup per eye..... I just always assumed (again, bad Ohfor, bad Ohfor) that I was a wimp because me eyes burn when using this formula..... but now you give me reason to question what I thought I knew about using this formula.<<<
If I ever said/indicated that it "shouldn't burn the way Dr. Christopher said", then please accept my sincerest of apologies...I certainly NEVER meant to imply that. What I know I've said and did mean to imply is that Dr. Schulzes formula is FAR FAR hotter than Dr. Christopher's (I can easily take 5 drops of Dr. Christopher's, and have never been able to handle more than 2 of Dr. Schulzes...although I tried 3 drops of Schulzes once --lol-- I saw MAJOR fireworks behind my closed eyes, it was crazy. Yet others on the
Schulze Forum have reported easily working up to 10 drops. Maybe that's his "new" formula ???).
Anyway, that I know of Dr. Christopher never warned people of a "Schulze level reaction", and those that reported in his newsletters reported no burning at any type of 'extreme' level that I recall:
//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1494127#i
So if you can only do two drops of MH's after trying repeatedly, I'd have to assume his is likely much hotter than the original formula...and I also can assume that you should assume that you're NOT a wimp! (and if you wanna try our 'Dr Christopher version', it's only a penny plus shipping for a 1/2
oz sample; just go to the Storefront and place the order and we'll get it on it's way asap). I find using Dr. Christopher's formula, that I can do the eyewash MUCH longer (and for me, that yields more benefits that doing the hotter version for only a 'couple-three seconds')...although I can tell if I did the hotter version for 'longer', it would be much more effective yet.
Also, here's a LONG overdue 'thank you' for the Disney info (and all your other informative posts). My apologies for not having the time to respond & reply like I'd like to (or should). I always appreciate your post, Ohfor7 :)
Healthiest of blessings,
Uny
