Re: Ball Jars lie.

I hadn't really ever thought about not trusting what the measuring line was on the Ball jars but after I read your post I had to try it for myself lol.

I measured 4oz in my measuring cup and it measured 4oz in my quart Ball jars but my half gallon Ball jars don't have the ounces marked just cups and pints.  I measured two cups from a 2 cup measuring cup and it registered about 1/4" above the 2 cup mark in the jar.  Strange.

So, quart jars don't lie but my 1/2 gallon jars do lol!
