Re: Breast cancer causes

I was just in Marin County this last weekend. I have seen other studies showing higher Breast Cancer in the Midwest and especially around the Great Lakes being linked to low Iodine in the soils.

Marin county is quite upscale. Lots of nice and expensive homes. There is a large community of well educated health conscious individuals. I kind of like the area but it is too expensive for me.

If I remember right the crime rate is really low. Health food stores abound, yoga classes, reiki practitioners and psychics, organic food, psycho-drama courses everywhere. Lovely place.

I wonder why the higher Breast Cancer incidences you are reporting? Could it be that early detection is taken very seriously by people that can afford it? Is it being over- diagnosed?
