Forgot to mention that Pepto-Bismol is working well at reducing the smell. The active ingredient in Pepto-Bismol is Bismuth, and it'll somehow bind to sulfur (indole and skatole are sulfur compounds in feces) that makes up most of the fecal smells in feces and flatus. It's toxic at high levels, so I'm only taking three tablets a day. It'll also push you towards constipation.
Metamucil is a soluble fiber, and bacteria in your colon will break it down and produce gas in the process. Some soluble fiber is necessary to health, but it might be better to limit the amount. Insoluble fiber can't be broken down by bacteria, but it absorbs something like nine times it's size in water, making stool bulky and the passage through the colon quickly. A methylcellulose fiber might be a good supplement to add. It's a insoluble fiber, meaning bacteria can't break it down, and so it produces no gas.
