Gaterade and other sportsdrinks will replace electolites also, its always good to have a bottle in the house for when somebody get sick!

My friends daughter was bulimic years ago and was rushed to the hospital because of loss of electrolites, her heart was pounding.
you can lose electrolites also by throwing up too much.
