I love coffee. It is my one true addiction. I can literally become euphoric just by smelling it brew. Anyhow, when my son was 4 he would come down with full blown asthma during every cold. We're talking full blown, cannot breathe, using breathing treatments several times a night to keep him open, with a few emergency trips to the hospital thrown in to boot. A friend of mine told me her doctor had recommended giving her asthmatic son coffee to open his airways way back over 20 years ago (Heaven knows that doctors would NEVER do something like that these days). I gave gave my son a cup the next time he had a cold and had asthma coming on, and it did the trick for him in the middle of an attack. People were appalled that I would give my little guy coffee, but I didn't care, coffee was better than albuterol. I hated that medication for him, but I wasn't as savvy in natural health as I am now. Changing our diet plus using oregano oil and coffee, my son has been asthma free for the past 6 years.
