Re: Headache

I have one cup of coffee, (normal mug size), every morning. I don't drink it at all during the day or at night. I don't like the whole thing about quitting altogether, for me these sorts of denial programs just don't work, and as long as it doesn't become a big part of my life, then I don't see the point in giving up.

I've watched many friends and family go through these sort of quitting programs, and I've never seen it work once, just like diets where you replace meals with milkshakes, or denying yourself certain foods like carbohydrates. People nearly always revert, and then dislike themselves even more.

In many cases, I believe that people like to punish themselves by denying themselves, this makes them feel virtuous for a while, but what its really saying is 'I don't like my body', so I'm going to punish myself for wanting these bad things. The 'bad things' then become the focus, when the focus should be on learning to love the skin your in. When you love your body, you will stop wanting to do the 'bad things', without even having to conciously think about it.

My daughter stopped smoking and lost weight by not trying to quit or diet, but by conciously loving her body, and not constantly punishing herself for being who she is.

Stress will kill you far quicker than 'anything' else.
