Re: Recently diagnosed with Stage 4 glioblastoma

Hi!

I've been diagnosed with the same stage 4 glioblastoma multiforme... However, it has been removed from the MRI. This means that there is probably around 1% left of the tumor. No easy way to be sure. No matter if it's 1% or 5%, the thing you dont want is for this number to increase. The best we can do is to keep this tumors as tiny as possible.

I'm about to begin a radiotherapy. I've decided not to try the chemiotherapy with the Temodal, as I feel this wouldn't be a good option for me. I've changed completely the way I'm eating. No more fastfood at all. No more sugars (other than those coming from the fruits) as I know that cancerous cells need the Sugar more than I do! History will tell later if this was a good or bad decision, even if I think I already know the answer.

Garlic every day (has an ability to prevent the cancerous cells from getting the energy needed or at least diminish the progression), curcurma longa (same principe), green tea (sechan uchiyama, which contains the highest density of EGCG, epigallocatechine-3-gallate, which blocks the VEGF receptor, which allow to bad cells to multiply), cruciform vegetables, freshly mold flaxseed grains (source of omega-3) to be added to your cereals, rasperries, strawberries, blueberries...

The more active agents that are going "head to head" against the bad cells, the less likely that those cells are going to adapt to what is being launched at them.

The only thing I still have to verify is to what extent all those things can go up the brain because the hemato-encephalic barrier is there to block most things from going up in the brain.

I've learned most of the thing I now know from a book named "Les aliments anti-cancer" but I don't think that this book was ever published in English.

I hope that I will be able to keep you informed about my condition for a while to tell you how I am doing. Also, don't forget the KPS factor! (google KPS factor if needed) Although I haven't tried acupunture, it is something I am considering. Best luck to you!
