#1277,

In the water ONLY fasting community they suggest to only drink when thirsty. There is a common sense reason for that. If you drink as much as you claim the body would quickly deplete of its electrolytes and that would lead to water intoxication.

I fully understand what is the ratio of water I should consume on a daily bases when consuming a proper diet. But 120 ounces is far fetch for anyone to consume per day without depleting electrolytes during a fast. No one should drink that much water when they are fasting because electrolytes would deplete which would then cause water intoxication.

I only consumed 28 ounces mixed with a two serving mixture of Cherry Limeade per day. That only has 10mg of sodium and 5mg potassium per day. That is barely enough to support an extra 92 ounces of water without depleting my electrolytes. I barely stay awake for more then twelve hours a day. You actually advise someone to consume more then 10 ounces of water per hour? That is insane and just plain irresponsible.

Let’s also take note that I exercised daily which assists in electrolyte depletion. I walked almost every day two miles plus, 30 to 60 minutes of yoga and twice a week weight training.
