The powder consists of sharp minute particles that literally shred the parasites. I used it as a facial scrub and the particles are so fine you don't feel any scratching or irritation, so it is not dangerous to ingest, but not so good for parasites.

I'm not sure how much to take though, as i just use the de powder in water.
