The product is patented so its not possible to get the formula, this means there is no way of knowing (unless you get inside information) as to whether this product could be harmfull or not. Basically you are relying on the manufacturers claims of its bioavailability and effectivness.
I have never seen Jarro-Sil before, but Bio-Sil is stabilized orthosilic acid. I found that if it sits for a year or so that it gels up. The DE reacts with water forming orthosilicic acid. Being that it stays in contact with the water orthosilicic acid remains all the time. So I see no real benefit to pay a lot more for a product like Bio-Sil when the DE and water do the same thing.
Would a product work instead of DE or are there other benefits to DE that a product wouldn't contain? The product is Jarosil. Thanks.

Products like Jaro-Sil and Bio-Sil will work as well, they are just a lot more expensive. If you do use these products I would still add it to a large container of water and drink it throughout the day.
Can you explain why you are drinking DE water all the time. I thought one was meant to take one tsp-tbls a day and that was it.
Silica is very poorly absorbed. If you take a big spoonful only a trace will absorb and the rest will just pass through your system. By adding to your water the water chemically reacts with the silica forming orthosilicic acid, which is what the body absorbs and utilizes. Each time you take a drink of the water you will absorb a small amount of the silica. This increases the overall absorption for the day.
Ok refresh my memory. I've filled a jug with D.E. so I can have a concentrated source of silica water.
If you filled the jug with D.E. did you leave any room for the water?
It doesn't need refrigeration or does it?
No.
It does not really matter how much you add since the excess silica that is not dissolved will just settle to the bottom. When you add more water after drinking some the new water will dissolve a little more of the silica. I add a spoonful of silica to a gallon of water, a little over 4 liters, and that lasts years. Although I usually empty it out and start with a new spoonful of silica ever 6 months or so.
Sorry, let me get this straight. You are saying it doesn't make a difference if you put a teaspoon or a tablespoon in a gallon?
Correct.
Surely the more you put in the more is dissolved which equals a larger quantity in the water.
Actually no. Silica is poorly soluble in water. So you will only dissolve a tiny amount of the silica in to the water. The rest will settle out. When you add some more water it will dissolve a litte more and the excess will settle out. It will not dissolve like sugar or salt.
Either way this is so little compared to the recommended 1 tablespoon in a glass of water once or twice a day.
Yes, but taking a tablespoon just means nearly all the silica will just be expelled rather than absorbed. Great for getting rid of intestinal parasites, but it will not put more silica in to your system.
Also what happens if I drink a gallon of water a day, with the one teaspoon? Would I get less silica than if I had drunk the gallon over several days?
No, you will get more silica in your system the more frequently you drink the water. The water will only dissolve a trace of silica. And you can only absorb very small amounts of silica at a time. So drinking the water frequently allows you to absorb a small amout of silica each time you take a drink of the water with the DE dissolved in it.
Hv I see you posted here taking the tablespoon at once is good for getting rid of intetinal parasites?
Will you please elaborate on this process/procedure to get rid of intestinal parasites.I think that might be the second best use of DE
This is an old remedy to deworm farm animals. The animals would be fed the diatomaceous earth. The DE is like tiny shards of glass. When insects crawl through it the DE scrapes their waxy coatings off causing them to dehydrate. If they ingest it the DE cuts up their insides. This is why it is used for bug control. For intestinal worms the DE is ingested where it cuts up the worms. Our intestinal walls are stronger and thicker, and protected by a thin fluid mucous so it does not harm our intestines.
The easiest way to take it would be to mix a big spoonful in some water or juice and down it. It will be a little gritty.
